Count every second until the event
July 31st – August 2nd
Celebrating it’s third year in 2020, the three-day Orange Winter Fire Festival showcases Orange and its surrounding villages at their winter best and combines the people, places and produce of the region across a range of activities that are guaranteed to warm the hearts and minds of attendees, as they celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of a regional Orange lifestyle.
The three day festival will showcase the best of an authentic country winter through a series of bonfire events inspired by the Australian cracker night bonfire tradition. Enjoy char grilled feasts, camp fire cook outs and rich red wines under our region's expansive starry night skies or huddle up next to a fireplace in one of our country pubs or restaurants and enjoy a blazing Sunday lunch.
The 2020 Orange Winter Fire Festival will include a smaller curation of in-person events than in previous years to comply with COVID-19 restrictions, but for the first time in 2020 will simultaneously launch Australia’s the Very Local Streaming Service (VeryLocal), a subscription-video-on-demand platform showcasing several digital channels featuring locally produced content, including a dedicated Slow TV channel. With new content added seasonally, the first iteration of VeryLocal will run from 31 July to 16 August 2020 and will take audiences into the depths of the Central West winter, as it features top class chefs and sommeliers, artisans, indigenous astronomy and the local environment.
